Collaborative partnerships

Collaborative partnerships

The NCACL’s Board seeks collaborative partnerships to share research and educational opportunities to assist with cultural understanding through the promotion of Australian Children’s Literature.

The National Centre seeks local, national and international like-minded organisations to create educational programs, seminars, workshops and exhibitions to enhance the learning experience for all.

Australian collaborative partnerships

Australian Children’s Laureate Foundation
Australian Children’s Television Foundation (ACTF)
The ACTF strives to make Australian children’s lives better through screen content that reflects our national culture and values. The organisation supports the production of quality children’s media and distributes this content around the world. The ACTF is pleased to be a collaborative partner of the NCACL.

Children’s Book Council of Australia (CBCA)
The CBCA and the National Centre for Australian Children’s Literature Inc (the ‘Centre’) are delighted to have a formal partnership which supports our shared goal to promote and celebrate Australian creators of children’s books. The Centre is pleased to maintain the CBCA’s collection of Children’s Book Week Artwork from 1984. Exhibitions of this artwork, events and other collaborative ventures continue.

Kids’ Book Review (KBR)
This is a 100% voluntary children’s literature and book review site that supports and features authors, illustrators and publishers Australia-wide and internationally. KBR covers news, reviews, interviews, articles, guest posts, events, specialist literacy articles and much more, attracting readers from all over the world including teachers, librarians, industry professionals, and of course – parents and kids. Thanks, Kids’ Book Review, for including our Centre on your ‘friends of KBR’.

May Gibbs Children’s Literature Trust (MGCLT)
The May Gibbs Children’s Literature Trust (MGCLT) was established to foster the creation and promote the development of Australian children’s literature. For more than 20 years the Trust has honoured May Gibbs through Creative Time Residential Fellowships to support the careers of a wide range of contemporary authors and illustrators of books for babies through to young adults, reflecting the diversity of the Australian culture and environment. The National Centre for Australian Children’s Literature actively supports the mission of MGCLT through sharing and promoting information regarding the Trust’s upcoming Fellowships.
