Publishers’ websites provide valuable information about authors and illustrators. Features that appear on these websites include biographical profiles, photographs, new releases, forthcoming titles, reviews, articles, interviews, podcasts, awards won, downloads and blogs. They also give ways to encourage discussion about books published, creators’ speaking schedules, school visits and other news and events. There are usually hyperlinks to organisations, teachers’ notes, learning activities and information for parents, teachers and young people.
These Australian and overseas publishers have regularly donated their publications for children and young adults to the NCACL. We would be pleased to hear from other publishers who wish to contribute to the Australian children’s book and literature collection.
