Each vegetable is appetising and nutritious individually, but it is the play of flavours together that make the tastiest pie. An allegory about how communities can achieve greater success when we work together, rather than when we argue about who is the best. This picture book also acts as a subtle reminder to eat your vegetables. The bright, cartoon-like pictures introduce children to a variety of healthy food and the simple rhyme introduces some of the key attributes of each. The description of the pie at the end of the story creates anticipation and should have children salivating for delicious healthy food.
