Alfie is not very old but was curious about destiny, mainly his. Was it something you make or something you see? Although told, ‘It’s what’s meant to be’, Alfie feels it must be something to be found so he sets off in search of it. He travels far across different landscapes and has many adventures and encounters, but still, no one can help him. That is, until he returns home and realises that his destiny is right under his nose.

The story is written in simple rhyming text and the animation style illustrations reflect the intense outback colours of Australia. The author/illustrator David Hardy is an Indigenous free-lance artist who worked in film animation with the Walt Disney Animation Studios for over eight years.
